Purpose-built hose connections
Stainless Steel Hose Ends for Push-On and Barb Systems
Hydraxio manufactures stainless steel hose barb and push-on fittings for hydraulic and industrial distributors, equipment manufacturers and private-label programs. The serrated stem engages the inside of a compatible hose, while the opposite end provides the required threaded or swivel connection.
Available configurations include NPT male, JIC female swivel, straight hose ends, 90° elbows and tee branches. Material options include AISI 304, AISI 316L and selected AISI 316Ti stainless steel for corrosion-resistant fluid-handling applications.
Hose barb and push-on components must be selected as part of a complete system. Confirm hose construction, inside diameter, working pressure, temperature, fluid compatibility and the required clamp or retention method before use.

Connection guide
Hose Barb vs. Push-On Fittings
The terms are sometimes used together, but the hose, barb geometry and retention instructions must match the selected system.
General Hose Barb Fittings
A serrated stem is inserted into a compatible hose. Depending on the application and hose construction, a clamp or another mechanical retention method may be required.
- Confirm hose inside diameter and material
- Specify the approved clamp or retention method
- Check pressure, temperature and fluid compatibility
Matched Push-On Fittings
A purpose-designed stem is paired with approved push-on hose. Some systems are intended for tool-free or clamp-free installation within their rated operating limits.
- Use the approved push-on hose construction
- Follow the hose and fitting assembly instructions
- Do not assume every barb is a push-on fitting
Selection guide
How to Select a Stainless Steel Hose Barb Fitting
Choose the fitting from the complete hose-system requirements, rather than from barb diameter or thread size alone.
Identify the Hose Type and Inside Diameter
Confirm whether the hose is a matched push-on type or a general low-pressure hose, then specify its material, construction, inside diameter and manufacturer requirements.
Check Pressure, Temperature and Fluid
Verify that the complete hose-and-fitting assembly is suitable for the working pressure, temperature range, conveyed fluid, vibration and environment.
Match the End Connection
Specify the complete NPT or JIC connection, including thread size, sealing method and whether the connection must be rigid or swivel.
Select Straight, Elbow or Tee Geometry
Choose the orientation based on equipment clearance, hose routing, minimum bend radius and the required direction of flow.
Confirm Retention and Stainless Steel Grade
Determine whether the system uses an approved push-on profile, clamp or another retention method, then select the stainless steel grade for the service environment.
Typical applications
Where Hose Barb and Push-On Fittings Are Used

Buyer questions
Hose Barb & Push-On Fitting FAQs
Practical answers for specifying, evaluating and purchasing stainless steel hose ends.
What is the difference between a hose barb and a push-on fitting? +
A general hose barb uses a serrated stem and may require a clamp or another retention method. A push-on fitting is designed for a matched push-on hose system with a specific stem profile and assembly procedure.
Do push-on fittings require a clamp? +
Some matched push-on systems are designed for assembly without a clamp, while general hose barb connections may require one. Follow the hose manufacturer's instructions and confirm all operating conditions.
What stainless steel grades are available? +
Hydraxio offers AISI 304, AISI 316L and selected AISI 316Ti stainless steel hose barb and push-on fittings.
Can you provide samples and OEM production? +
Yes. Samples can be supplied for evaluation, and OEM production is available based on drawings, dimensions, materials and marking requirements.
What are the typical MOQ and delivery conditions? +
Stock items may be available without a standard MOQ. For non-stock production, the standard MOQ is generally 200 pieces per size. Smaller trial quantities may be discussed.
What information is needed for a quote? +
Send the hose type and inside diameter, connection details, fitting shape, material, operating conditions, quantity and any drawing or reference part number.
